Pundit tells Sheffield United to sign Arsenal’s Reiss Nelson

The Transfer Tavern’s EFL spy reckons that Sheffield United would represent a good opportunity for Arsenal youngster Reiss Nelson to get first-team football.

The 21-year-old is approaching the 50-appearance mark for his boyhood club but was forced to step down and play with in Premier League 2 last season to get regular game-time.

Nelson, once called a “special player” Mikel Arteta, featured just twice in the Premier League, and hasn’t quite proved his worth at Arsenal just yet.

However, Nelson did spend the 2018-2019 campaign in the Bundesliga with Hoffenheim, proving himself at the highest level by scoring seven times in 23 league outings.

But with the likes of Nicolas Pepe, Gabriel Martinelli, Willian and Bukayo Saka all ahead if Nelson in the pecking order, another loan move away from north London is likely to be his best source of first-team football.

And with Sheffield United expected to challenge for a place back in the Premier League, the EFL insider reckons that Bramall Lane under the tutelage of Slavisa Jokanovic could be an ideal home for the youngster as they look to make an immediate return to the top flight.

He exclusively told The Transfer Tavern:

“With Sheffield United financially in a good position after the Premier League trip, I think you could see some really good players joining them for a challenge to the top-flight again.

“They’re a major club in the Championship, so it wouldn’t surprise me if they make good signings from Premier League and Championship clubs.

“And, a good player would be Reiss Nelson, a right winger at Arsenal who needs good game time now at a good level.”

Pundit says Conte would kill Daniel Levy

Editor-in-chief at Forza Italian Football Conor Clancy has described Antonio Conte as the most demanding man that has ever lived and joked that he would kill Daniel Levy if they worked together.

But the pair could soon be about to link up for the very first time, with Conte now in advanced talks about becoming the new Tottenham manager.

Remarkably, it’s just four weeks since Conte won his fourth Serie A title and guided Inter Milan to their first since 2010.

However, following problems with the owners, the Italian left his role at the San Siro by mutual consent, but is on the verge of making a sudden return to management, which would see him back in England just three years after he was sacked by Chelsea.

Conte’s first spell in England saw him win the Premier League and FA Cup, but his failure to qualify for the Champions League proved costly when he was sacked and replaced by Maurizio Sarri.

But a return to the capital is now on the cards, although Clancy fears for Levy dealing with someone as intense as the Italian.

He told The Transfer Tavern:

“Conte is one of the, if not the most demanding man that has ever lived, and I don’t see how it would possibly work for him with a club like Spurs with someone like Daniel Levy above him. That relationship, I don’t think Daniel Levy would come out alive because Conte would probably kill him.

“He demands backing, he demands signings, even with Inter he was given signings like Stefano Sensi and Nicolo Barella in his first year, and they were Inter’s two best players, and even after three months he was complaining.”

Wolves: Fans flock to Conor Coady and Pedro Neto update

As per reports, Pedro Neto and Conor Coady are reportedly targets for Everton, should Nuno Espirito Santo finalise an agreement to take over at Goodison Park [Football Insider].

Following the recent appointment of Bruno Lage [BBC], Wolverhampton Wanderers face a summer of transition, as multiple senior players are being linked with moves away from the West Midlands.

Ruben Neves is mooted to be interesting the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United, whilst Traore has admirers in the form of Chelsea, Liverpool and Leeds United respectively [SportsMole].

However, two more of Espirito Santo’s star men during his four-year spell in Wolverhampton are now subject of attention from the Merseyside club.

As the Portuguese manager looks to ratify a deal to become Everton manager imminently [Football Insider], no wonder loads of Wolves diehards flocked to Twitter to vent their frustration at these latest developments.

Wolverhampton Wanderers fans react:

Replying to popular fan outlet Talking Wolves, here is what some fans had to say upon hearing the news:

“Anyone who thinks Neto wants to continue playing Nunoball needs to give their head a wobble. It’s been obvious he hasn’t enjoyed playing under Nuno this season, you can see it from his body language alone”

Everton fans on Moise Kean in new PSG kit

Some Everton fans have been left to speculate as Moise Kean modelled the new Paris Saint-Germain home kit for the 2021/22 season.

As shared on the French club’s official Twitter page, the Italy international can be seen wearing the new shirt along with Neymar and Julian Draxler.

Kean is only on loan at PSG and is due to return to Goodison Park at the end of the season.

It is therefore odd to see him modelling the new kit unless he is playing for them and not the Merseyside club next term.

There have been some recent reports of him leaving Carlo Ancelotti’s team on a permanent deal, and some Toffees supporters have duly been wondering whether PSG have reached an agreement to sign him.

Spurs legend drops huge Kane claim

Graham Roberts has told Football FanCast that Harry Kane’s body language suggested he could want out of the club during the Carabao Cup final, amid reports that he has asked to leave this summer.

Sky Sports reported on Monday night that the England captain is seeking a way out of the club this summer after growing frustrated with a lack of progress towards winning major trophies.

Spurs are currently sixth in the Premier League, five points off the top four with two games to play, and they are not even guaranteed a place in the Europa League.

It is perhaps understandable, then, that Kane is keen to move to a club who can win the biggest honours, and Roberts believes that his body language was telling during the Carabao Cup final.

Spurs lost that game to Manchester City 1-0, and barely even troubled opposition goalkeeper Zack Steffen, to the chagrin of the Spurs icon.

Speaking exclusively to FFC, Roberts said: “I thought, alright, Man City were brilliant but we made them look brilliant.

“I didn’t think we got amongst them, we played to exactly how they wanted to play and I think Harry, looking at his body language, he wasn’t a happy man.”

Roberts also believes that Spurs have to do everything they can to ensure that Kane does not leave, amid links with the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City, and, unthinkably, Chelsea.

He added: “We’ve got to do everything in our power to keep him at our football club, because if he leaves we’re going to be in dire straits.”
